The following courses are available or planned in the department of Bible:

Biblical Interpretation (BI0606)
Looking at the Bible and at the principles of sound interpretation, this is "how to read the Bible for all its worth".

Old Testament Survey (BI1002)
A course that overviews the story of God’s dealings with His people and provides a framework with which to “think through” the Old Testament.

New Testament Survey (BI1003)
A look at the sweep of New Testament history, the life of Jesus, the harmony of the Gospels, and an overview of each of the books.

Acts (BI1001)
A verse-by-verse study, with emphasis on the unfolding spread of the message, the establishment of the Church, and the implications for us today.

Romans (BI1004)
A verse-by-verse study of the great book of the message of salvation, including the “Gospel to Christians”.

Pastoral Epistles (BI1005)
A verse-by-verse study of the books of 1 Timothy, Titus, and 2 Timothy, which are packed with practical instruction on Church life and organisation.

Teachings of Christ - 1 (BI0607)
An examination of the parables and the other teachings of Jesus Christ in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.

Teachings of Christ - 2 (BI0608)
An examination of the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John.

The Prophets (BI1009)
An examination of the prophetic books of the Old Testament focusing on the prophet himself, his background, his message, and the implications for us today.

This module considers how we view Revelation, and how we understand this difficult but exciting book.
